MOTOR Z-AXIS for systems with the new style CPU (Dark Green board with 3 LEDs, see part 21-1538 for a picture of this CPU) requiring a 1.5 AMP 8 volt motor.  Typically, these motors will also have a sticker on the bottom showing "1.5A"

For Older Style CPUs (light green board with more than 3 LEDs) an 8 AMP motor (21-1222) is required.  We recommend you upgrade the motor and the CPU with our 21-1548 CPU/Z-Motor Upgrade Kt to improve reliability and Z axis positioning integrity, if you have the older style.

These two motors are NOT interchangable and attempting to use the wrong one can damage your CPU.
